Introduction:
Manner is a digital animation exploring the relationship between censorship, social norms, and freedom of expression. Combining the symbolism of the 404 web error with the traditional Chinese principle “非礼勿视，非礼勿听，非礼勿言，非礼勿动,” the work examines how moral conventions and systems of control can restrict individual perception and communication. Through symbolic imagery and digital distortion, it questions the boundaries between social order, authority, and personal freedom.
