Introduction:

The Unordered Three Steeds is a fully CGI series I created for the Year of the Horse. I gave each steed a moment in time and a world of its own. The series moves from red firelight through dark city streets into a white-and-gold space whose edges seem to dissolve. These shifts trace three states of mind: charging ahead, losing direction, and finding the will to move again.

The red steed embodies the past. Clad in sharp-edged armor, it charges into the fire as if sheer momentum could carry it through whatever stands in its way. The black steed belongs to the present. It stops between tall buildings, with roads open on every side and no clear sense of which one to take. The force that once drove it forward gives way to the unease of standing still.

The white steed looks toward the future. It opens its wings in a wash of white and gold, framed by circular motifs and suspended forms that subtly evoke the imagery of tarot. The scene feels like a card just turned over, its meaning still open to interpretation. Where the white steed will go remains unknown, but its wings are already open.

《失序三骏》是我为马年创作的一组纯 CGI 作品。我把过去、当下与未来交给三匹马来演绎。它们各自处在不同的世界里，从赤红的火光、冷暗的街道，到近乎失去边界的白金色空间。场景的变化，也对应着三种不同的状态：冲锋、停滞，以及在不确定中重新迈步。

赤马代表过去。它带着一身尖锐的甲胄冲入火光，仿佛只要还有力气，就能撞开眼前的阻碍。黑马代表当下。它停在高楼之间，路口仍然向四面敞开，却没有哪一条路能让它确信该往那里走。过去那股惯于向前的冲劲，在这里变成了原地徘徊。

白马指向未来。它在白金色的光中展开双翼，背景里的环形图案与悬浮构件隐约借用了塔罗牌的构图和象征语言。这个场景像一张刚翻开的牌，意义还未完全显露。未来会走向哪里依旧未知，但白马已经张开了翅膀。
