At Avery & Partners, every case begins with a negotiation. A green fluorescent tube lights the evidence board. In the warm glow of a desk lamp, the detective rests his feet on a pile of case files and waits for the visitor to make an offer. One stands with arms folded. The other leans back in his chair. It’s easy to guess who needs the deal more.

Treat. Trade. Trust. draws on film noir lighting and pauses just before the detective takes the case. The visitor has to trust this man with a secret and decide what they’re willing to give up for an answer.

《Treat. Trade. Trust.》借用黑色电影的光影，把故事停在侦探接下委托之前。来访者要把秘密交给眼前这个人，还要想清楚，为了得到答案，自己愿意交出什么。
